Hay dos disponibles en el estado de California que operan a nivel federal y estatal. La Comisi\u00f3n de Igualdad de Oportunidades en el Empleo (EEOC) hace cumplir las leyes federales contra la discriminaci\u00f3n, mientras que el Departamento de Empleo y Vivienda Justos (DFEH) hace cumplir las leyes estatales contra la discriminaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La EEOC y el DFEH tienen un acuerdo de trabajo compartido, lo que significa que cuando usted presenta un cargo ante una agencia, se crea una copia duplicada de su cargo y se env\u00eda a la otra agencia. Este plazo se llama \u201cestatuto de prescripci\u00f3n\u201d y es la cantidad de tiempo que tienes para presentar cualquier acci\u00f3n legal por un delito. Si espera y excede el plazo de prescripci\u00f3n, es muy poco lo que puede hacer y los tribunales pueden desestimar su caso porque el estatuto ha expirado.
