Jason Buccat, Esq.

Jason Buccat is a successful litigator with expertise in all aspects of employment and criminal
law. Mr. Buccat also has vast experience in personal injury, family law, civil rights, general civil
litigation and mediation. Mr. Buccat is dedicated to providing first-class quality while
tenaciously representing each of his clients.  Mr. Buccat brings his passion for the law and
winning ways to the DTLA Law Group.

Mr. Buccat previously served as the Managing Attorney at a boutique Culver City law firm and a
mid-sized Los Angeles plaintiff’s-side firm, has run his own practice, and now manages his own
team at DTLA Law.  Mr. Buccat has refined his legal skills as a zealous advocate for his clients
while effectively communicating with his fellow attorneys, judges, arbitrators, and mediators.
Mr. Buccat has prevailed in his civil matters garnering both plaintiff monetary awards and
defense verdicts.  And Mr. Buccat has enjoyed great success in criminal defense earning
acquittals for his clients.

Mr. Buccat has had the honor of serving the community while representing at risk youth and
their families through the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic, for which he received a CALI Award.
He also served as a Congressional extern for United States Senate Majority Leader Senator Harry
Reid and as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Frank J. Ochoa. Mr. Buccat has been practicing
since 2008 and is a member of CAALA.

Mr. Buccat graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with Provost’s Honors,
and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology.  Mr. Buccat received his
Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas – Boyd School of Law. While
at Boyd School of Law, Mr. Buccat was a member of the Society of Advocates Moot Court
Competition Team, served as President of both the Minority Law Students Association and Asian
Pacific American Law Students Association, and was the Vice President of the Saltman Dispute
Resolution Society. Mr. Buccat was awarded third-best brief and was a regional semi-finalist in
the National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
